Last week, Joe, Cheryl (Joe’s wife), and Taylor (Joe’s daughter and a Partner of Pioneer-360) McCartney traveled to Channel Futures’ Leadership Summit and MSP 501 Awards Gala to hear the outcome of Joe’s nomination for the Lifetime Achievement Award. Although Joe did not win the award, to even be named one of the four finalists is a monumental honor. All of Pioneer-360, Joe’s family, and his community could not be prouder, because to us, there is no one more deserving of this prestigious title.
About the Award
Channel Futures describes the Lifetime Achievement Award as being given to “an individual for exceptional contributions to the technology channel and outstanding service to the industry. The award goes to an executive who has demonstrated commitment, perseverance, creativity and ingenuity over an entire career. To qualify, please nominate a candidate who has been in the industry for at least 10 years. Describe what they have done to distinguish themselves in the managed services and technology channel. This individual will have made significant contributions to companies and individuals in the channel and impacted channel strategy, customer satisfaction and business outcomes, partner program development and vendor direction, etc.” This award is a difficult one to judge – with thousands and thousands of applicants from all over the world, the top four candidates are chosen to be named as finalists, with one final winner announced at the Award Gala.
A Lifetime of Achievements
Joe McCartney was an obvious choice to be nominated for this award, as he has dedicated over three decades to the IT industry. Starting Pioneer Programming 34 years ago, acquiring Teledata, forming Pioneer-360 and evolving the business into an MSP/MSSP have been the foundation of Joe’s IT career. Joe saw an opportunity and a need in our area 34 years ago for an IT company, and he has made it his mission ever since to give back to our community and to be a positive influence on those around him.
Joe not only gives his all to his business and employees, but to everyone he knows. He has started organizations and foundations that have given young volleyball players in our community the chance to play their favorite sport, Joe sits on the board of every organization he can to be a voice for those around him, and he goes above and beyond for charity organizations. Joe McCartney has dedicated his lifetime to helping others in every way that he can.
